Life as of Lately.

Fellow bloggers- Do you ever feel like you have so much going on in your life and then as soon as you open a new post your mind goes (hand gesture) blank. As if nothing important/interesting/entertaining etc. etc. etc. is happening with you? I am having one of these times! What the crap have I been doing to keep myself so "busy"... and why don't I have anything to show for it? I guess I've just been busy thinking about Mexico and daydreaming about the white sandy beaches and how I love to rub it in that we are going (hehe mean I know). I can't wait. I find myself at work trying my hardest to focus on actually working and I daze of for a while and then wtf, I'm back at victoriasecret.com and I have my card out and I'm.. ordering more clothes. Dang. They get me every time. Maybe its because I fantasize that I will look drop dead gorgeous in one of their many many suits. But in reality I'm a painfully white and plain girl. Which, don't get me wrong, is totally fine with me (I just had to write that because Bre had to point out the other day that I was 'albino' and I have been tanning every since. HA- that that Bre!)

My one goal for this summer is to get as tan as I can and then maybe, just maybe, I can call Bre albino- then she will know what it feels like. Until then I'll keep my 8-5 job, because I'm not really sure if I can beat out skin color with a 1/2 Mexican woman. But all this Bre talk reminds me of the fact that we both have dogs and that brings me to think of my own... which then brings me to remember what she did the other morning. I thought Derek was going to die.

It was Saturday morning/afternoon, Derek, Chloe and I were laying on his bed relaxing and kind of dozing off again (because most of our Saturday's are spent sleeping) and all of a sudden I heard the weirdest sound. I stopped myself from breathing so I could hear it a little better. It sounded like the softest, littlest sound that was almost like a small low drum or something. Wait a second... I remember this sound. It all came flooding back to me. As I ripped the covers off my legs and threw my body up and over to the end of the bed I grabbed Chloe. Crap. Chloe was going to barf (or better yet, I like to call: 'Moppit projectile vomiting'). Its not like Derek has a bathroom in his room (not everyone is that privileged) and there was no tile or hard flooring that I could throw her on. So I had to do what any great mother would do. I had to take one for the team, sacrifice my own body.... Too bad Derek didn't see it like that.

As Chloe was about to finish off her job I chucked my hands as fast as I could under her mouth and caught her nasty throw up. I was totally fine with doing it and helping out Derek so he didn't have to clean off his whole comforter until I heard him in the background, "Ashlee!!! What the crap! That is the sickest thing ever, oh my gosh get it away from me I'm going to throw up." I, in return said, "Uh ook drama queen I was being a good mother and girlfriend and caught it for you so you didn't have to clean off your bed." As Derek moved closer to me and the puddle in my hands he started to gag. Which in return made me gag (like any normal human) and then it was all downhill from there. I ran into the bathroom as fast as I could trying to get the water on without spilling it all over the sink. As I'm gagging, panicking and rinsing off my hands I remembered the boys were out of soap. Which would never happen in a girls apartment I might add. Then it really hits me, blahhh I can't get this crap off!! Derek is calm again, laying in his bed thinking nothing of it, and I'm yellin' at him to get me a towel.

This all just makes me think of when we have kids and how much worse being a good helpful mother is going to be. I can't wait! But of course I will wait until I'm more mature and the sight of vomit or blood doesn't make me wanna pass out. Oh, and the best part about this story is that Chloe had just finished chewing up Derek's favorite, brand new, chap stick we just got from the store. Haha. Payback is a _____. Anyway, here are some picture from lately- hope you enjoy!
